jDownloads 4 Beta published!
We are proud to present a first official jDownloads beta version 4.
As we have already carried out an extensive and successful test phase with a larger number of users over the last 10 weeks, we are now hoping for only a short official beta phase and a stable status soon. Our special thanks go to the many users who had signed up to participate in the extensive testing.
We know that many users are urgently waiting for the final stable release to be able to convert their current websites completely to Joomla 4. But we need at least this short official test phase before we can be start with a stable release.

What is still to do?
- The documentation for the new version is in progress and will be published or updated step by step.
- The translators will have to wait a little longer, as the new language files have not yet been uploaded to Transifex. We will make up for this in the next few days. But the new language definitions are not that extensive either.
jDownloads 4 Beta can be tested now!
We are happy to offer interested jDownloads users a pre-beta 4 version for testing!
We know that many users are urgently waiting for the final release to be able to convert their current websites completely to Joomla 4. But we need at least a short test phase to find and fix critical bugs.

What is still to do?
- We are currently trying to finish the last unfinished part (the support of the Joomla Multilanguage function) as soon as possible.
- We hope that enough jDownloads users will help with their tests to eliminate any remaining bugs so that we can release a stable version as soon as possible.
- New documentation for the coming version is in progress (by Colin Mercer) and will be published soon.
- Translators must still wait a little bit. But the new language parts are only very small.

jDownloads 3.9.8.7 for Joomla 3.10 is available for download. This is the last planned update to the jD3.9 series.

Problem with our Support Forum
Unfortunately we have had some problems with our support forum here on jDownloads.com since yesterday morning. As a result, the forum was unfortunately unusable for about 24 hours. In order to solve the problem as quickly as possible, we were forced to resort to a backup from 28 July. Unfortunately, the forum entries that were created after that are no longer available. We apologise for this.

Security Update for 3.9 series!
Users which has still installed the version <= 3.9.8.2 should update immediately to the latest 3.9.8.3 release.
The leak, which was fixed in the latest version, allowed a registered user to view the names of files that had been assigned to individual other users. This vulnerability was reported by the RedHotCyber team. You can read detailed information here.
