jDownloads 4.0 Stable published!
Today we have published the first stable 4 release!
jDownloads is a very extensive extension. Therefore, it took many months to make the necessary adjustments for Joomla 4.
After a long internal test phase and a subsequent public beta test phase, the time has finally come! We are very happy to present the first stable release of our Joomla extension jDownloads 4 today! Please update as soon as possible.
Our special thanks go to the many users who had signed up to participate in the extensive testing.
Developers whose Joomla extensions support jDownloads in any way or have developed their own plugins or modules for this purpose are asked to check their extensions and revise them if necessary in order to be compatible with the new jDownloads Version 4.

Today we have published the next beta 4 release.
jDownloads 4.0.20 beta for Joomla 4 is now available for download. Please update as soon as possible.
Nearly all the reported bugs from the older beta versions should now be fixed. Therefore, the first stable version will be released in the next few days.
- At the latest with the release of the stable version, all language files of version 3.9 on Transifex.com can then also be used for version 4. We then ask the translators to translate the few new passages of the new version as quickly as possible.
- Unfortunately, the language files we offer on jDownloads.net cannot be updated at the moment and should therefore not yet be used for version 4. However, we hope for a solution here soon.

The use of the beta versions on constructive websites cannot be recommended. If you would like to try this anyway, always make a backup of your database and all files beforehand. You can find out how to update your old installation here.
Most of the reported bugs from the 4.0.17 beta should now be fixed. We therefore hope to be able to publish the first stable version in the next step.
