jDownloads 4.1.7 is now available.
This release focuses on download reliability and post-update stability.
We have improved the delivery path for file downloads, especially for environments where browser/proxy/server behavior can differ.
Main improvements in 4.1.7:
- fixed a download stream loop issue that could lead to truncated/corrupted files
- removed unconditional Content-Encoding identity header usage
- added Cache-Control no-transform to harden download delivery
- normalized backend module language loading/installation behavior for 4.x consistency
Based on current server-side tests, downloads are working as expected across common file types and browsers.
As always, after updating, please clear Joomla cache, browser cache, and PHP OPcache.
