Hi
When you create a Download you can set the start and end dates when it is published, that is when it will be seen in the front end.
Presently there is no standard method of reporting when the Download becomes unavailable.

One could set up a Cron job to check if it is still downloadable but I have not tried that way!

jD just supports Video preview types: mp4, webm, ogv and ogg;.  The actual Downloadable file could be different.
There are numerous free web site which will convert mov to mp4

hello,

I had a problem that was reported to me by a user.
I had a dot in my download path ( /mysite.com/jdownloads )
impossible to download
once I removed the dot ( /mysitecom/jdownloads ) the download worked again.
It would be a good idea to correct this if possible, as sometimes the host creates such a folder by default.

Basically the answer is yes but you do need to comply with the permission and access.  Setting as Public Access would be the minimal requirement.

In the actual Download you can set the start and finish publication dates and times.

Yes modern routing is work Outstanding

If you check out oceantheme.org then I think it is not running Joomla 4 or 5 but is still using Joomla 3.  Checked out the css files and they are completely different.

In Joomla 3 and earlier there were several extensions that converted the links to modern routing.

And I saw that they are using JDownloads. But their URL is modern URL, and is pretty and simple.
Any Ideas on how they did that?
