News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi
The contents of the upload form that creates or edits Downloads is set in User Groups Settings.
You might find the article at the link below, particularly the last half.
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/introduction-to-user-group-settings

Usually I create an 'uploaderUG' user group with Registered as its parent, and also a view Access level called say UploaderView with uploaderUG as its only member.  Then in User Groups Settings I set the uploaderUG to have a high ranking level such as 123 so that all users from the front end who are allowed to upload are members of the uploaderUG, including the super users.  This means that all uploaders will use the same form.
