Dual use of jDownlaods

I've been using jDownloads for several years for a protected dealer area. A great tool !!!
Now I would like to offer in the public area PDFs and pictures via jDownloads, without any access the dealer area.
But it has been shown that - although not registered for the dealer area - I can still access the data offered there via the jDownload search.

Is there a way to separate both areas. E.g. Through a double jDownload installation?
I'am using Joomla! 3.6.5 and  3.2.46.

Having two jDownloads Components is not possible in the Joomla! structure.
But I am puzzled about the search problem.
Have you found that if you have a Registered only Category and a Public Category then someone who is not logged in and uses the jD Search then they can see Downloads in the Registered section.  And that they can Download the those from the Registered Category?

I cannot reproduce that problem.  I am using jd v3.2.46 It may have been a 'challenge' in a much earlier release but not now.
Also for extra security set the View Access level on the top Level 'Registered' Category to Registered - Joomla! default is Public.
