Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

I configured my user group settings for front-end upload on a custom group, but they are not applied.
What have I missed ?

It seems that my user on front-end belongs to 2 groups :
classic "Registered" group, and a custom group.
If I just set the permissions on my custom group, they are not detected. If I set them on my first "Registered" group, everything is ok.
How can I tell jDownload to use the permission of my custom group ?

Hi
You need to set the ranking value for the user group in user groups settings.
The following two articles in the documentation might be helpful.
