Migrate J2.5 to J3.4

How can i migrate my documents and categroies from J2.5 to J3.4?

My jdownloads versions are in J2.5  jDownloads 1.9.1.6 Stable and in J3.4 3.2.35.

In your case the basic steps are to get Joomla! 3.x running and then first migrate to jD1.9.2.11 After that you upgrade from jD1.9.2.11 to jD 3.2.x on Joomla! 3

The key is making backups and being careful not to rush.  Also record the ids of your existing downloads and categories as these may change.  This means that if you are using the jD Content plugin in articles or similar you may need to edit them to get the new ids.
Lots of people have done this successfully - it needs care and planning  And BACKUPS
