Upgrade from 2.5 to 3.0

I am upgrading my Joomla site this weekend to 3.x 

For JDownloads, all i have to do is uninstall Jdownloads and all plugins, upgrade and then reinstall the 3.x version and all of my data will be there as it was?

There are various documents which should help.  It depends upon which version of jDownloads you are currently using.

If you are using the jD 2.5 Series on Joomla 2.5 then
"From jD2.5.x on Joomla 2.5 to jD3.2 on Joomla 3.3 or higher"

If you are on the jD 19.1.6 series on Joomla! 2.5 then

Basically do it on a test site first to practice! Do not trust your memory, take notes! Lots of Backups.

Unfortunately, I do not have a test site.  I am trying to get approval for a server so I can create one.

I read what you provided, thank you.

Once I get all of the plugins/modules removed, then remove the component (after copy the folders), it looks like a simple uninstall and then reinstall after upgrade.  I have printed out screen shots of all of my configuration, including users!
