I'm running Joomla 3.3.3 and JDownloads 3.2. Site URL is http://www.bonsallvillage.org/upload-documents

I'm unable to upload files from the frontend. The Category selection box won't allow me to select a category and when I browse for a file and click save it appears to do something but when I check the downloads list the file is not present.

I can upload files and create downloads fine in the backend.

Also noticed the calendar fields in file upload are mis-aligned.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi
The uploads are working OK from the front end on Joomla 3.3 so there is probably a configuration set up needing adjustment. Or maybe a View Access Level or a Permission challenge.  Have you set up your User Group Settings?

Is it that the Category List box does not have any Categories shown? In Configuration - FrontEnd could you please setup to show Uncategorised and All Downloads as indicated in attached pic FrontEnd01.png to see if they show in the list box.

Please advise which user group you test user is set up in  - note the super user does not automatically get to see all the categories from the front end!  Check what user group ranking you have in user group settings.  Basically need more info - pics please - in order to assist.

PS the misalignment of calendar fields is being sorted. Anticipate next release to have something like pic FrontEnd02.png but it does depend sometimes on your actual template especially in showing the calendar icon

Hi,

I managed to get this working following your advice. Thanks. Now I have a different issue:

Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/deuxbiers/bonsallvillage.org/modules/mod_jdownloads_latest/mod_jdownloads_latest.php on line 28

appears when I use the jDownloads Latest module.

Hi
Glad you sorted this out.  I will move this from bugs to General.  Have made note of the warning you get from Latest module

Okay, I cleared the error by tabbing out line 28 but of course the bug is still there.
