News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

I upgraded from earlier version to jD 3.2.2 using Joomla 3.3.3 version.

In earlier version, there was option for disabling. Now it is not there.

Hi,
since jD 2.5/3.2 exist a full support for the Joomla ACL.
So you can now define in the jDownloads global permissions and for every category, which actions are allowed for a member from a user group. Additional exist some special settings in the 'user groups settings' from jD.

Please note, that we have changed the early used term for 'upload' and use now 'create'.
Read also the ACL Notes in the jDownloads documentation.
Best Regards / Gruß
Arno
