Change your settings in the joomla configuration back to the default value (see pic) and try it again.
By the way, this are not really bugs... but i will fix also this messages in next beta.
The update process should do still his work.

Well, i made a complete new installation. But when i tryed to upgrade then, i got this:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '`jlanguage' at line 1 SQL=ALTER TABLE `joomla_jdownloads_ratings_new` DROP `jlanguage

After i deleted it myself, i tryed it again:
1062 Duplicate entry '16264' for key 'PRIMARY' SQL=INSERT INTO `joomla_jdownloads_ratings_new` SELECT * FROM `joomla_jdownloads_rating_backup`

So i emptied the "joomla_jdownloads_rating_backup" and "joomla_jdownloads_rating_new" tables. But the script still stops after some time with the errors shown in my 1st post.
I added my php settings in the attachments.

Please try this version (below).
But note that it is only a corrected 3.2 beta and not a 3.2.1 beta release. So you must deinstall before the prior installed 3.2.

By the way, the bug comes from a forgotten ` character in the query.  ::)
Please post here again your results.

Thanks, now no errors apper but now i only see a white page.

Maybe my database is too big to upgrade?
"joomla_jdownloads_files_backup" has about 10MB

The system shouldn't be too slow:
Intel Xenon E3-1230v3
8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz
256 GB SSD

Well i'll delete a lot of files without description, maybe it will work then :)

Could you help me one more time arno?
When i click on "Check Download area now." i got this:
Error: Filename empty after cleaning!

QuoteMaybe my database is too big to upgrade?
A other user has imported 10.000 downloads without problems. But i know not his server settings.
But perhaps should you use a local installation with xampp. In this case can you use higher php.ini settings to get not problems with timeouts. But wait until we are sure that it is not a bug again in the ratings import.

QuoteBut even with that i got the white page once.
In this case activate again a higher error level in Joomla config.

QuoteWhen i click on "Check Download area now." i got this:
It is not useful to do anything else, until you have get a really result message from the update process. A white page is this not.

I already use xampp to test it out with my local copy.
Allowed file uploads: Yes
Maximum allowed filesize (max_filesize): 101M
Maximum allowed POST size: (post_max_size): 101M
Memory limit (memory_limit): 900M
Maximum input time for uploads (max_input_time) in seconds: 259200
Maximum execution time of scripts (max_execution_time) in seconds: 259200

Well after i reloaded the white page, i landet on the jdownloads control panel.

It shows all entries (The download archive currently contains 3265 Downloads in 113 categories.) but i can't search for more.
The files are accessible and with description, images ....

Error reporting is set to maximum, but the "Check download area now" window only shows that error above and this one:
Notice: Constant JPATH_SITE already defined in C:\xampp\htdocs\includes\defines.php on line 16

Sure. This is clear and normal. But not a solution.

Please activate the php error logs in your php.ini and also for MySql, perhaps is here a problem with this very much query's.
I be now away until tomorrow.

Happy easter.
