I'm evaluating 'cms' systems for an upcoming redesign of our website at work and considering DNN and Joomla.  Despite the language differences, DNN being a portal system and Joomla a cms, can anyone provide bias/un-biased comments on why I should choose one system over the other?

I could go either way. Both offer a good variety of modules, but I haven't made up my mind as to which provides a more flexible design offering.

Probably the most important aspect of this project will be the need for a customized search tool for searching for vacation rentals based on specific criteria/parameters, rather than a free text search.
