Not possible to download anymore !!??

All of a sudden users get the: "You do not have permission to download the requested file.
Contact the website operator if you are sure that this is incorrect."

We have changed nothing on the site - just updated jDownloads when a new version was available - what is going on !!

thanks for reporting this and sorry for the inconvenience.

Your report matches a known 4.1.5 regression where, in some upgrade scenarios, the component root download permission can end up empty.

That can cause the message "You do not have permission to download the requested file" even though your configuration was not intentionally changed.

This does not affect every installation, which is why it appears inconsistent across sites.

We have prepared a fix and it will be included in jDownloads 4.1.6 (planned later today).
Please update to 4.1.6 as soon as available, and let us know if anything remains after the update.
