i Have install joomla 5.40 and php8.3 and i create 2 categories and i add 2 files but i had select from menu a "single category" and i get the error 404.

Whicn version of jDownloads are you using? In the Single catgory iteMenu Item did you specify the category?
Have you looked at jD the Documentation? The link to the documentation is https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation
There is an article in the 'Getting Started' about First Time Installaion. Also articles about creating a category and Downloads.

I read through the documentation again and added a 'Hidden' menu item List all Categories(default). It's working now—thanks!
