Trying to enable jcomments I get an error in front end...

No errors when install jcomm
ents, but if I enable it in jdownloads the front end crashes with this error:

Any ideas on this?

Which version of JComments are you using?  I ask this because the original version has not been updated to Joomla 4 or 5 as the author has retired.
However the Exstreme organisation has a working version and uses the same database structure so that existing comments are still available.

Im using the latest version I could find: pkg_jcomments_4.0.34.zip. Is that the best one to use? Edit: I looked at that page and the fix was to copy in that 4.1 version of the plugin. Working great now, thx!

Yes 4.0.34 is the latest version from Exstreme. Have you set up the automatic check for updated versions
