No category in module

In modules, it is not possible to select categories. they do not appear in the categories field

I cannot reproduce your problem here. See pic from Latest module.

Have you maybe activated a third-party template?

I use T$ framework for public template, administrative template is the default administrative template. Unique module where i see category is jDownloads Most Recently Downloaded.

Maybe could also help to run again the update (pre-beta 4.0.2)?

I have checked all the Modules, the only ones that do not allow a choice of Categories are Stats and View Limits.  The Related one does allow Categoy choice but on the Filter Options Tab.
So it must be some local condition

Have you checked in backend of my site? I sent the credentials to access the backend with a private message to Arno yesterday.
It is very strange that it is possible to select categories only in the jDownloads Most Recently Downloaded module, not in the others. I also tried a fresh install of joomla, with no other add-ons and themes with the same result

Even without the Italian language files? And without your special template framework? So with all the standard settings.

Fact is, that nobody else has submitted until today a problem like yours and we cannot reproduce it here.
I will send the login data also Colin so he can also look at this. Two heads are better than one.

New installation haver only English language no framework, but i have the same problem...

Thanks. I have now some installations where it works fine but other with the reported problem.
So I must now only find out the reason for the different results.
