Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hello users and Moderators of JDownloads.

Since a few months I keep having problems with "Check Download Area", it does matter which option I choose. If I perform a "Full Scan" check, then all folders including subfolders are fine, but then it constantly goes wrong with the files. The first 100 to 300 go fine, but then the process stops and doesn't continue. I also see that many files a number is added to the file name. What I then do is just repeat the process again, but it does not go any further. I remove all filenames with an extra number in the database (PHPMyadmin).

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong and what information is needed to be able to view the files. I have deleted the entire download folder with files many times and also uninstall JDownloads. Also in PhpMyAdmin all belonging items. But it remains strange. Please let me know.


Also I see that a strange failure are popup when I choose "Clean up the Preview Files Folder". See picture:
