News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hi, in the manual i found this option: Public can view Downloads but cannot actually download.
But i don't found the way to setting this option. If i set a category or a file as restricted to Registered user, if i view the category without login, i don't see files and not show any message that invite me to login.

Thanks

Hi.
Briefly:
1. the download (and its category) should be publicly accessible in that case
2. but the download permission is set to only to 'registered'

But whether this is so easily possible depends on the current global permissions setting.

I will try to find an example in the documentation, because it is not so simple and short to explain here.  ::)
