what is the option: Show uploader log?

In Config-->Uploads there is a setting at the bottom called Show uploader log? - what does this do?

I have check the documentation wiki and this is not covered yet, also search this forum.

Hi
This option is historic dating back to when uploads were much slower and often had more problems.  If yuo select Yes for this option then a View log button appears on the Files Page - upload tab. where one can breifly view the uploading status.  This option will probably disappear in next major version.  The entire upload section and options are in process of change.
