Submenu disapears when i cklick on a sub-Category

I have a strange behaviour with jDownloads.
I have a Submenue on the left Side. The Module is set to all Sites. Within this menue there is a link to a jDownloads Category.  When i use the link, everything is ok. But when i try to go in a subdirectory in jDownloads the Subemnu disappears. What can i do?

When you set your menu module to show on all pages did yo select all pages or did you leave as indicated in the attached pic?

Have you also a menu item to "all categories"?

Thank you for helping! The module (type navigation) is assigned to all Sites. But it looks a little bit different to your screen shoot under module > menu > module > menu assignement
> module assignement > On all pages.

And i have three menulinks type jdownloads "single category".
