I tried creating the tables to make it work, but I can only get so far with it.

i think you have tried the plugin from the pic?
Please note that this is not compatible to the new jD 3.x series.
So we must rework it...

I also need this plugin working with Joomla 3.4.x and Community Builder 2.0.9
