Support for Joomla Content Plugin - [Fixed in 3.2.25 !!!]

Hi,

First of all many thanks to the developer for this Awesome component for downloads.

I want to use this component for a non-profit charity organisation in which I am a full time volunteer.

Everything is going fine except one issue. I need support for Joomla content plugin in the description area to use it in my website. I read the documentation carefully and did the same as described but somehow none of the joomla content plugin is working in the description area of the component. I am using latest version of joomla i.e. ver. 3.3.6 and jDownloads Version 3.2.24 beta.

• system plugin of jdownloads is enabled
• "Activate support for all Joomla content plugins?" is set to Yes

But the componet is not rendering the joomla content plugins.

Can you help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply!!

I have tried two plugins.

First is  MP3 browser fork - Plugin to create a formatted table of MP3s - Place the tags {music}folderName/subfolder{/music} in any content item.
The plugin will strip the tags and replace it with a table containing all the MP3s from that folder for playing or downloading.


The other one I tried for testing purpose is - content plugin of Akeeba Release system.
Both of them are not working.

After reading your reply I thought to try some other plugin and I tried {loadmodule mod_login} just to test.

And this plugin is working as expected. but not the mp3 fork plugin.

Can you post a link for the mp3 plugin?
What mean you with 'fork'? Have you modified this plugin?

Hi,
i have found the problem.
The mp3 plugin will have at first a 'introtext' field which exist only in the Joomla article contents.
So i must modify it a little bit. You can download the changed file below. Copy the unzipped file to this folder: plugins/content/mp3browser.
But please note that you will lost this again when you update this plugin!!! But maybe can you use the override functionality.

I have also found a bug in jDownloads for the content plugin support. Only a problem when you set the option 'Plugin Support only for descriptions?' in configuration to 'No'.
With 'Yes' should it work.

This bug is fixed in next version.

I'll apply that fix .... and yes all other plugins started working only when I set "Plugin Support only for descriptions" to Yes.
