If you filter any category which has subcategories with files, the files of the subcategory will appear as well. This makes it really complicated to order files in a parent category...

Jdownloads 3.2.14 Beta
Joomla 3.3.6

Category A --->
                      File 1, File 2, File 3

                       |->Subcategory A
                                               --->File 4, File 5, File 6

If I filter by Category A, I get File 1, File 2, File 3 AND File 4, File 5, File 6 (all files of the subcategory A too)

If I filter by Subcategory A I correctly get only File 4, File 5, File 6

Hm... okay, i will check this more at this weekend.

The question seems for me to be:
Is this a bug or a feature... i am not sure, the it is not complete wrong.
When i change this, it can be that a other user then means that the new result is now a bug!  ::)

For me it's a bug because you can filter just the files of the subcategory but you CAN'T filter just the files of the first category. It makes sorting downloads in the first category much harder, since you also see the files of the subcategory which have other sorting.

I have checked what Joomla does here with categories and articles.
And also Joomla lists articles from subcategories when you select as filter the parent category.
So jDownloads and Joomla use the same logic to get the filter results. So it is not really a bug.

I understand that you have sometimes problems with this. But what shall we do?
Maybe could be here a new option the best choice. I will give it some thought.

Hm if Joomla behaves the same then I agree it should be left as it is. Would be nice if you could add an option :)
