Option to remove tabs in frontend upload (available in 3.2.12)

While tabs are a nice feature during the upload when you are requiring a lot of information from the uploader, I only need to get the file, description, author, and category. As it is now, each piece of information is on a separate tab which does not make for a smooth experience. I suggest that you have an option to not use tabs on the front end upload page and just have all information on one page.

yes..i m totally agree with you..there must be an option to remove these unwanted tabs.

Have been working on a solution.  Waiting on Arno for final bits.  Set up the relevant User Groups item to ask just a few questions.  In first pic below the result would be a reduced number of tabs.  The second shows same as one page with no tabs.  Comments welcome.  Note the order of the tabs has been changed and some 'lines' compacted eg one showing symbol and those showing file restrictions.

Please note however that the priority is to get to stable version by fixing known bugs.

With any luck this will be included in next update, only qualification is that it needs an extra database entry in the config tables so Arno may defer for release after that!   As soon as it is confirmed I will write some documentation for it.  Presently it is looking like another 2 or 3 beta releases then stable version release as the detected bug rate has dropped.  We had some 21 identified bugs, of which 5 were cleared in last release.

the No Tabs option is in the latest beta releases.  Actioned on individual user group basis in User Group Settings - Group Creation/Editing Settings  - Use Tabs in Frontend.  There a some minor css changes outstanding to get the form 'tidier'
