News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

This string appears for the "date" ("Created" in frontend) when listing downloads both in front and backend:
"C+0000Jun_JMon+00002610+0000PMMonrd_01rdUTCPM00_MonEJunePM14035449370UTC_MonPMUTCE_June+0000RJunPMUT"

I had this in both jDownloads 3.2.6 and 3.2.7 (not used anything before 3.2.6).

Now I have made a clean installation of Joomla 3.3.1 and jDownload 3.2.7
Nothing uploaded, only the example created from "Tools->Install example data"
Date still contains the strange string!

PHP 5.4.12, MySQL 5.6.12, Wampserver

What have I missed?

Hi,
QuoteDate still contains the strange string!
Please check the values for the date fields in the jD confguration (see pic).
What for values are here stored in your case?

When this are correct, create manually a new download in the jD backend and check the result.

Thanks!
In config it said: "COM_JDOWNLOADS_INSTALL_DEFAULT_DATE_FORMAT" and "COM_JDOWNLOADS_INSTALL_DEFAULT_DATE_FORMAT_SHORT".

When I entered my own string "Y-m-d H:i:s" it looks OK.

Should "COM_JDOWNLOADS_INSTALL_DEFAULT_DATE_FORMAT" give that strange result I had, or is it a bug/misconfiguration?

Thanks for the answer!

Okay. It seems that you had activated (before you have installed jDownloads) the Joomla debug and language debug option. This is not a good idea.
So please deinstall jDownloads again and delete all jDownloads DB table with your phpmyadmin tool.
- Afterwards make sure that this options above are NOT activated.
- run then the install process but use for it the normal way (upload installation file)

Yes, Joomla debug was on at the time of jD installation, but i "don't think Language debug" was on. But this was my latest installation. At my previous attempt, debug was not on.

Uninstalled jD and removed tables.
No debug options on.
Tried to install jD "From Directory" (as I had done before).
Result: Same problem as previously.

One more uninstall and table removal...
No debug options on.
Tried to install  jD "With Upload".
And now it works  :D

Thanks a lot for Your very quick response!!!
Now I can continue with the rest of the installation.

Thanks/Anders

We know that it exist here a problem.
So only the normal way (upload file) is recommended:
Quote- run then the install process but use for it the normal way (upload installation file)
