Title: Uploading fiiles
Post by: barraclm on 05.10.2017 06:52:36
I am configured for jDownloads to figure out which upload method to use. When I try to upload a file in the backend I get "Your browser doesn't have html5,flash,gears,silverlight,browserplus,html4 runtime support". I find this most unlikely as I am using the latest version of Google Chrome. How do I get round this please?

Hi
In Chrome, Silverlight is not supported and Flash is blocked by default. Gears was removed from Chrome in Crome 12 as it is no longer being supported or developed by the Opera people. BrowserPlus is available as an addon but seems to lead to a lot of adverts! And HTML4 support has been superceded.

Chrome does support HTML5 so I suggest that you try specifying that method explicitly in Uploader Runtime field and let us know.  It is possible a problem has developed with the selection mechanism, perhaps if there are multiple 'negatives' or  something may have changed.
