News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Whenever a user deletes a download-file (frontend-acces), the file may be deleted, yet there is still 'a simple download without document'

Also, in the backend there is still a 'download' a the catagory-view; showing it is having no file.

- I do not understand the meaning of it: why is the download not deleted completly? (as it was on former jdownloads)
- Now: what  does a frontend-user need to in order to delete the download completly?

(Joomla! 3.3.6, jDownload 3.2.18 Beta)

Hi
In front end deleting the file is considered to be an Edit, so the user group needs Edit Permission.  (normally just in top level category as permission cascades down).  If the user group has that permission the a red cross appears by the name of the file - actually probably already had that as otherwise would not be in the form

If you need to delete the whole Download then the user group concerned needs Delete permission as well.  In that case the Accept, Cancel buttons at the top of the form become Accept, Cancel and Delete.

After doing so I moved to 3.2.24: I guess it's oke now

Thank You, Wietze
