Per-User Download Permissions Without Creating Custom ACL Groups?

Hi,

I need to give download access to a single user for specific files in jDownloads, but I'd like to avoid creating a separate Joomla user group and dedicated access level if possible.

Is there a built-in way in jDownloads to assign download permissions on a per-user basis without modifying the existing ACL structure for the rest of the site?

I'm trying to keep the permission setup as simple as possible and avoid creating additional groups for every individual user who needs special access.

How are others handling this type of requirement?
