The following sites I manage:
* productionsite: www.mensinghesingers.nl
* testsite: www.wimwijninga.nl/mensinghesingers
(jDownloads is only available for authorised users :) )

The normal procedure making a new testsite:
For making a backup from production I use Akeeba and use the backupfile to install it om the testsite.
By installing it, I have to fill in the right database settings for the testsite and after that change one url. Then I can login to the admin page of the testsite. After that I have to change the Path Settings in jDownloads, Opions, to "/home/w6035206/domains/wimwijninga.nl/public_html/mensinghesingers/jdownloads. And then all works fine.

But when I now start jDownloads in the back-end of the testsite, it says "Error! Upload root directory /home/wijnin22/domains/mensinghesingers.nl/public_html/jdownloads does not exist". When I try to change that in jDownloads/Options, I see the message "this component has no options".
What goes wrong here?

Joomla: 5.4.0
jDownloads: 4.0.4.48

Hi
I do not know what caused the change. I would suggest that you upgrade to 4.0.49.  There was a problem with early versions of 4.0.48

Hi Wim49,
I cannot find text like this: this component has no options
in a 5.4 Joomla installation. Are you sure this was the exact message?

QuoteAnd then all works fine.
You mean in the frontend? You can see jDownloads download area and can also download files?

Best Regards / Gruß
Arno

Hi Arno,

The message is in Dutch: "Deze component heeft geen instellingenopties". I translated that into English.

What I meant by "everything works fine" is: everything works fine in the front-end.
In the back-end, the control panel reports that the upload directory doesn't exist. When I try to change it with Options, I get that error.
When I try to make a new download I get the error: "Joomla\CMS\Filesystem\Folder::files: Pad is geen map. Pad: /home/wijnin22/domains/mensinghesingers.nl/public_html/jdownloads¨
When I try to update jDownloads to 4.0.49 I get the error: Fout bij het updaten: jDownloads
Undefined constant "DS"

Regards,
Wim

Hi Arno,

After repeatedly recreating the test environment using the backup of the production environment (with jDownloads 4.0.49), the problem remains unresolved.
However, I have tried using PhpMyAdmin in the relevant MySQL database to set the contents of the item named files.uploaddir in the table jdownloads_config_backup_3_2_69, which had the value of production, to that of the test environment. This also doesn't help. Is there another location where the contents of file.uploaddir are stored?

Kind regards,
Wim49
