Listing category by date

I can't find the issue for listing category by date. I have created a main category and 10 sub category. I would like display and sort sub category by creation date.
Is it possible ? regards oli

Hi,
Reget  you can only sort categories by ID,  title  alpha or title reverse alpha.One could adopt a naming convention.  Curious as to why you would need sub cats by creation date.
Downloads can be sorted by creation date and many other waysthe settings are in Config Front End tab near the bottom.

The idea is to create a parent folder called "mission". In this folder, there are subfolders with files related to each mission. So when I have 50 missions, the ideal is to sort by date. But it does not matter, I'll get around this problem by naming the file by its date and name.
