Hi
I have just installed to a recently updated site the latest version of JDownloads. Version 3.2.30
If I directly create a download into a created category all appears to work however when I create a menu option for downloads in that category everything appears okay except the created date.
It displays the created date as "C+0000Mar_JFri+00001350+0000AMFrith_05thGMTAM00_FriEMarchAM14274239140GMT_FriAMGMTE_March+0000RMarAMGMT".
If I directly upload the file to the default jdownloads folder it uploads ok, but when I refresh the view to see the upload file I get the following error and cannot see anything but the error on the page.
The error is " 0 DateTime::__construct(): Failed to parse time string (C+0000Mar_JFri+00001350+0000AMFrith_05thGMTAM00_FriEMarchAM14274266340GMT_FriAMGMTE_March+0000RMarAMGMT) at position 6 (M): Double timezone specification"
If I go and delete the uploaded file from jdownloads or move it to a category the list view of uploaded files returns.

Joomla site version is now 3.4.1
PHP Version is 5.4.36
Web Server is Apache
Webserver to PHP is cgi-fcgi
Compression is disabled
Caches also disabled

I'm guessing its something to do with date and time format, but whether it is a bug or I need to change a parameter I am not sure I tried the basics like changing the date and time zone in Joomla, but that made no difference. The only thing I have noticed is Joomla displays the date format as YY MM DD but windows is displaying it as DD MM YY. If this is the issue how can I correct it.
I have used JDownloads in the past and never had this issue.
Best Wishes for a speedy reply
Mike  :)

Hi
First the setting up of the date format.
The default is Y-m-d  for both Short Date-Time format and Long Date-Time format.  You can change this in Config - Downloads tab.  It might be useful to leave both of the fields blank.
Please see the following article for more information.
International Dates & Times, and Number style  http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/international-dates-times-and-number-style

The date & time output is indeed 'interesting'.  There is obviously some formatting challenge.  Not sure I quite understand sufficiently the details of what you reporting so as to simulate your problem.
QuoteIf I directly create a download into a created category all appears to work
By directly do you mean creating from front end or back end?  And how do you view it?  Again Front end or Back End?

Quotewhen I create a menu option for downloads in that category everything appears okay except the created date.
What specific menu item type? I think it is "List Single Category"  but it could be "List All Categories" with a suitable Access Level.  Please advise.

QuoteIf I go and delete the uploaded file from jdownloads or move it to a category the list view of uploaded files returns.
When you say delete the uploaded file do you mean just the file or the entire Download?  Did you delete from Back end or Front End?  I also understand that after deleting the view returns to normal.  Is that correct?  Also is it just the 'old' Downloads that have the problem?

Finally when you say you upgraded was that actually a migration from the jD 1.9.x series?  If so was it from jD1.9.1.6 on Joomla! 2.5 or from jD 1.9.2.x on Joomla! 3.x?

Sorry for all my queries but there are so many possibilities!  But so far we have never had a jD date format problem, except support of language specific dates, so your query is intriguing.

Hi,
maybe can it be useful to check the Date formats in the used language file from Joomla.

Hi Guys

to answer your questions
The site was upgraded from Joomla 3.3.6 to Joomla 3.41
JDownloads was then freshly installed for the first time - Version 3.2.30
The created download was done from the backend and viewed from the front end. I had not yet put facility in to upload files from the front end.
Yes it was a single category listing I used in the menu item I created.
I used eXtplorer to list all files in the JDownloads folder then I deleted the file I uploaded to there then the system was okay again.
The file I was uploading there was an office 2013 pdf export from word. The file did originally have a date in the title, but I removed this and retried, but still the same fault occurred.
I cleared the Long and Short date fields in the downloads tab and now the date is okay from downloads and file uploads works okay also.
I did not try changing the date format in the language files as it is now working okay.
Many Thanks for your help guys.  :) :)
