After updating to version 4.1.6 I see all categories and all downloads in the frontend but after selecting a download only a blank page is shown.
Joomla 5.4.7
PHP 8.3

Hi.
Thanks for reporting this.
This may be a runtime error in the download path after update, but we need one concrete error message to confirm whether it is a regression or environment-specific.

Please do this quick check:
- In Joomla set Error Reporting to Maximum and enable Debug.
- Try one download again and post the exact error message shown.
- If still blank, please paste the newest entries from your PHP error log.

Optional quick isolation test:
- In jDownloads options temporarily disable Send Downloads using the PHP script and test again.
If this works, the issue is narrowed to the PHP download stream path.
Best Regards / Gruß
Arno

disabling "Send Downloads using the PHP script" causes another error; this is the main directory of our hosting environment: "/mnt/web213/b3/82/52825482/htdocs/_j4_entw/jdownloads"; selecting a download leads to following: "Firefox cannot connect to the server at mnt. Did you want to access www.mnt.com/web213/b3/82/52825482/htdocs/_j4_entw/jdownloads/01_satzung_und_ordnungen/satzung.pdf?"

debugging doesn't show any message; clicking on a document opens obviously a pdf-viewer and there is no debbugging info available (see attached files)

The only error-message I get is: 2026-07-22T08:02:28+00:00   NOTICE   2001:9e8:324:5500:b5ff:ddc:f9e3:879d   client-error   Page not found (404): https://www.svuh-test.de/favicon.ico. Message: "Seite nicht gefunden"

I'm not able to view any error-logs of our provider
