jDownloads 4.x Setup Tips?

I'm new to using jDownloads 4.x on Joomla 4/5, and I wanted to share a quick experience while also asking for some advice from the community.

I recently installed jDownloads on my Joomla 4 site, and overall the setup process was quite smooth. The component installed without issues, and I was able to access the backend interface easily. However, as I started configuring categories, files, and permissions, I realized there are quite a few options that can be a bit overwhelming at first.

Here are a few things I've already done:

Created basic categories for downloads
Uploaded a few test files
Set up simple access permissions
Enabled frontend upload for registered users

Everything seems to be working, but I still have some questions:

What is the best way to organize categories for a growing download library?
Are there recommended settings for improving performance when handling many files?
How can I customize the layout to make the frontend look more modern?
Any tips for SEO optimization when using jDownloads?

I'd also love to hear how others are using jDownloads 4.x in real projects. Are there any must-have plugins, templates, or configurations that you recommend?
