unpublished categories

Hi,
I have a issue with the categories:
I have installed the jdownloads components and I have created the "jdownload" folder with 755 permissions but, when I create the categories in the backend, these are not plublished. 

When I try to activate them manually this error appears:

"Categories folder not found, so it is not possible to publish this category: %s."


 please, could you help me?

I have installed the jdownloads components and I have created the "jdownload" folder with 755 permissions but, when I create the categories in the backend, these are not plublished.

jD should have created the directory itself when it was installed. 

Could you please look at the Config - Downloads tab - 'Upload directory path' field.  Its contents should look the same as the Joomla  Global Configuration - System tab - 'Path to Log Folder' field contents except with 'jdownloads' instead of 'log'.  You can also look in the Server tab 'Path to Temp Folder' field which ends in tmp.  These are 'absolute' paths to the relevant directories.
