News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

hi,

is there the posibility to hide menu items in the backend for the jdownloads component? i would like to give access some users to the menu item "files", so they can use the plupload component in backend for big files.

for now i could only enable the whole jdownloads-component, but then they have access to the hole menu, even the configuration.

peace jesta

Hi
You could create a User Group that has access to the Admin interface but without access to Configuration, Tools, User Groups Settings and also no ability to change  Permissions.

Several people are enquiring  about using 'Plupload' or similar from front end.
