What exactly means "frontend upload function improved"? E.g. do we now have default values?

The fontend upload form may now be shown either in tabs, as previously, or now optionally as a styled simple list.  This is useful to people who only want to ask 'uploaders' a few questions. The choice of using tabs or list style is selectable by user group.

There are no specific presets but maybe one could include a certain number by using custom fields.  Presets seem a good idea for the future perhaps.
