Jdownloads no longer work aftre 4.1.2 update

After the above update (yesterday) downloads no longer work from the front end. Everything appears normal but when clicking Download/Continue after selecting a file nothing happens. Was working OK before applying the update. Link to my Downloads area

Got it working again by switching off the jDownloads/User Groups Settings/Public: Use Captcha setting
Further investigation shows something changed with Google on the 1st April and my download site is no longer protected. I'll have to do battle with Google and find out what's wrong 

So to summarise, this post can be ignored, the problem is not related to jDownloads

Yes, Google's reCAPTCHA has indeed been causing problems since the change, and I won't be using it any more either, due to the issues surrounding the GDPR.

I'm currently testing a few alternatives, including the Akeeba Altcha plugin.

This plugin implements the open-source, self-hosted, GDPR-compliant ALTCHA system. It does NOT require using a third-party server or paying for subscription fees.

I will be implementing integration with jDownloads shortly.
