PDF jDownloads

How can I properly configure jDownloads to ensure file permissions are inherited correctly when new files are uploaded? For example, when I upload a PDF to a specific category, it sometimes becomes inaccessible to registered users. What settings should I check or adjust to fix this?

This is all to do Access and User Group settings. These are a feature unique to jD.  As a starting point I would suggest

The section that you  need initally for your 'challenge' is 'Access & User Group settings'.
User Group settings may appear challenging at first but actually they are quite straight forward.  Sometime I describe the prblem as like trying to ride a bicycle that seems clearly impossibe initially but very simple when you know how!!
