Title: I have a question about the settings.
Post by: rolaloe on 01.09.2016 12:22:02

I have 9 users which are normally registered , one user is an administrator.
The registered can for themselve upload files. the administrator can see all files.
My problem: When the administrator uploads a file, should he have the opportunity to select a user to this file is associated.
How I do  that?

Regards, ROland

Hi
When a user creates a Download from the Front End then jD automatically sets that user as the 'creator' which you can think of as the 'owner' in jD terms.
The Administrator can from the backend  change who is the Creator

Yes i know, but the admin is the owner of the side and should not work in backend, only frontend. Because its to difficult for him.

Is there another way to solve my problem?

Hi
Surely a reasonably written guide for the administrator coupled with relevant  training to use the Backend would not be very onerous. One can restrict access in the Joomla! backend so that not all facilities are available.
To add the ability to change the 'creator' to the front end would involve much code change.

I think, a new modul is the best way to solve this.

I will check how much work it is.

A module can not help here.

Okay. I will add this field in the form (see pic). It can then be activated in the jD User Groups Settings for every user group.

@Arno
Excellent!
If the field is not shown will it default to current user?

I need a day or two more to get it ready.
