Hi,
I created a 4 column layout for the categories view. I added the {cat_descriptionX} tag for the sub categories. But If the cat only has 3 subcats, then in display {cat_description4} in the frontend. Other values like the title or number of downloads are not displayed. Is this a bug? And how to change?
And one more question: If I add checkboxes, what do I have to insert in downloads layout to get the "download all marked files" button back?
Thank You, Flo

Not certain which 4 column version you are using. The two attached pics show output with just 3 cats when using "Categories Example with 4 columns v3.2" in first pic and with a layout I have just done, "Categories Example with 4 columns v3.2 (with descriptions)" that includes descriptions in second pic.
Attached is file called "exported_layout_jd_3.2.44_Categories_Example_with_4_columns_v3.2_(with_descriptions).txt"
You need to change the extension from txt to xml and then you can import from the Layouts page with the Import button. You should also be on jD v44 or higher.
Shortly we plan to have a library of various layouts, and I will include this one as well.

One cannot use the 'with checkbox' versions if you use a show all Downloads menu item for some obscure but challenging technical reasons. :(

Ok I imported the layout and set the downloads layout to a default. I get the same problem (see attachment).
The second question: I have a normal menu item to view all categories. And inside a cat I see the checkboxes for each download. But in which part (class/placeholder) is the "Download" button for the marked files? I hide many things like category listbox etc...

Hi
I have sent you a PM asking for site address so I can see what is happening.
For the second question you should see a button at the fdoot of the page that, in English, says 'Continue'
