Title: problem "Control of the Download folder?"
Post by: marcoga67 on 27.04.2016 14:17:19
Good morning, after the last update I found a mistake. The control panel changes me and signal an error (1064).

Change only the control panel otherwise it works fine, but my problem is that I no longer have automatic downloads inserting files with FTP.

Going to configure, monitor, and entering NO to "Checking the Download folder?" I can get the panel in the right way but still have the problem of not being able to put the files with FTP.

Under "Control of the Download folder?" there is a notice that should not exceed the 1000 files and if I do it to disable the control, I passed some time 1000 files and I never had problems.

Can you help me, thanks
:'(

Hi
I think what is happening is that your web server is running out of time now that you have a  large number of categories and files.  This will then cause an error.

The  suggested level of 1000 is a cautious estimate as depends on the characteristics of your server and how much space and time resources you are allocated in PHP by the owner of the server.

You can of course initiate monitoring manually from the control page or you can use a cron service to periodically initiate monitoring as if you had started it  manually.
The following might help

Colin Thanks for your suggestion, but unfortunately I can not do monitoring manually from the control page because it gives me an error (see attachment), are desperate because I have to do everything manually.  :'(

Hi,
you could activate the Joomla debug option and set higher the error reporting level (see documentation). Try it then again and post here (or via PM) your results.
