Title: Assign multiple files to one download
Post by: juergen852 on 16.02.2016 12:30:22
How can I define a download wich contains 2 or more files?

Example: Product ABC has an operating manual and a wiring diagram.
Instead of having 2 Downloads (op-man and wiring-diag) I would like to have 1 Download "Docs for Prod ABC"

Is that possible?

Hi
This is presently not possible. It has been requested previously so is on the suggestions list.  There are two things you could do. One would be to put both in a zip file and perhaps make it a third combined download, or just one download in place of two.  The other alternative is to use the Checkbox layout that allows multiple selection into a single zip.

For reference one of the challenges with multiple files in a Download is that people may choose to have the browser open them for viewing.  This is not simple if one has mixed types of file.

Maybe could you also use the 'mirror' field?
