Title: What is this link?
Post by: romagromov on 27.01.2016 12:33:56
Hi!

I have strange problem.

Some times when I press on different main categories Jdownloads opens main page.

For example, I open category site.net/internet
but page displays a copy from main page.

I use ArtioSEF. After I deleting all sef urls - pages displays fine.

But after some time this issue appears again.

So, today I found this issue again.

I opened sef urls in ArtioSEF and found strange links:

Here full link

index.php?option=com_jdownloads&adCountIntervalHours=12&adultdisabled=undefined&affiliate=null&attributionDisabled=false&callback=null.getSnoozing&check=&domain=besplatnyeprogrammy.net&fullcleantitle=Ammyy

What is this link? Is it external attack? If yes, how to block this links?

No idea what this should be. But the tried parameters are not used in jDownloads so i think it is harmless.
And besplatnyeprogrammy.net seems to be a russian software page.

besplatnyeprogrammy.net - this is my site ) with jdownloads

It seems I know why after this inquirys category pages displays main pages.
Because Jdownloads does not handles pages with 404 errors.
Is it true?

Invalid links goes to the jDownloads main page - yes, this is correct.

It is bad. Site should to handle 404 errors.
This is very major issue for Google indexation.

Hi
Maybe you should add your own 404 error handler.  The following link might be useful
http://joomlaseo.com/checklist/avoid-404-errors
Note the comments ref Google SEO ranking.

Not sure if that will action ahead of jD but expect it will.  if not then no doubt Arno can advise how to turn off the jD default behaviour.

Thanks for the link Collin.
But my template have 404 page.
Other components succesful displays 404 error for non existing urls, for example K2.
Only Jdownloads does not process 404 error.
