I would like to make the title in a download created by using the text editor downloads button, right now it goes to its own page. I would like the behaviour to be the same for the download button and title from links caused by the editor button.

First just to clarify
In the default setup clicking on the 'Download' Button takes you to the Summary page, clicking on the name of the Download takes you to the Download Details page.
These actions are controlled by a combination of three Configuration parameters:
- Configuration- Frontend tab 'View Download detail page?'
- Configuration- Frontend tab 'Use files title as download link?'
- Configuration - Downloads tab 'Activate direct downloading?'
