How to hide the "subcategories" and "files" text when displaying?

Hi
These are output by the active Layout
For example in the Files Layout "Standard Files Layout without Checkboxes v2.5" the text Files and its background are generated by
{files_title_begin}<div style="background-color:#EFEFEF; padding:6px;">{files_title_text}</div>{files_title_end}

So make a copy of the layout by Save and copy, then edit or remove the above, Save and then make the active Files layout

That made no difference. The text still shows up. Ideas?

Hi
Which Category, Categories and Files Layouts do you have active?  I only gave an example of what to do. You will nee to do in more tan one layout. 
Please also show a picture of what you want removed as maybe I am thinking of something else
