Post by: rknoetzen on 03.06.2015 14:48:15
how do i force a refresh of the downloads database. I have lots of unpublished downloads and categories and i would like the system to revisit my download folder and refresh and publish all the downloads?

Hi,
sorry but i understand not exactly what you mean.
It exist not really an 'auto publishing' function.  ::)

You can easy get listed in the backend all unpublished Downloads (and categories) and publish this with a single click.

Hi
In jD Config - Monitoring Tab there is a setting "Automatically publish Downloads? "  This is used in conjunction with the monitoring if you have uploaded directories and files by say FTP
If you are uploading from the Front End then there is a setting for each user group in User Group Settings - Group Creation/Editing Settings to automatically publish.
Also as Arno says in the Backend in Categories you can select status Unpublished and then select all and Publish, similarly in Downloads.
