Title: How to import downloads manually from 1.9?
Post by: Gugge on 29.04.2015 18:21:58
When installoing the 3.2 update from 1.9, I got into some problems and the installation failed. After several attempts it succeeded, though.

But I never got any options to update the new database with my old downloads.

Is there a php-file that i can call or any Sql-spripts I can use to update the new table (I still have the old downloads in the SQL-table jdownloads_files_backup).

Hi
Sounds as if jD got a bit confused with the multiple attempts.  It probably thought the data base was 'complete'.   It is good you have the jD1.9 Back up file.  This is essentially the database entries.  It does not have the actual downloadable files.  However one cannot directly use the old backup wiuth the new series as the database structure had to be modified.

Where you upgrading from jD 1.9.2 on Joomla! 3.x or from jD 1.9.1 on Joomla! 2.5?

Are the files themselves in the jDownloads directory and its sub directories? Or are the not there at all?  Also in images/jdownloads are any other images associated with your downloads still present?

Are you downloadable files quite large or numerous?  Sometimes a migration fails because the server runs into resource problems such as insufficient time.

Do you have a site backup with the old jD1.9 series?  If you do I would suggest you maybe think about doing the migration again.

Please adviser

Hi
Have you looked at the documentation on the migration?
