ich habe in einer Testumgebung eine Migration von 1.9.2.11 auf die neue 3er Version geschafft.
Leider habe ich nun ein Rechteproblem und weiß nun nicht mehr weiter :-(
Eigentlich sind die Berechtigungen für Öffentlich auf "erlaubt" gesetzt.

Das passiert leider bei der Übernahme der Daten und wir haben bisher das Problem nicht komplett beseitigen können.
Eine Lösung gibt es aber doch dafür:

ist schon komisch, da es bisher bei allen anderen damit klappte.

Also wenn ich deine Backup Datei wiederherstelle, haben alle Kategorien und Downloads die korrekten Berechtigungen:
User Group: Public
Download: inherited
Calculated settings = Allowed.

Dein Problem kann ich leider hier aktuell nicht nachvollziehen. Bleibe aber trotzdem dran. Muss nur eine Pause jetzt machen.

Bei Berechtigungen für jDownloads Komponente:
- wieso gibst du Besuchern und Registrierten die Rechte 'eigene Inhalte zu bearbeiten'? Die dürfen doch gar keine Inhalte erstellen... ich hab das mal korrigiert.

so eilig ist es nicht, es ist ja zum Glück nur die Testumgebung ;-) Will nicht das ich Dir soviel Zeit raube. Wennst mal die nächsten Tage Luft hast freu ich mich 8)
Öhm die Berechtigung war nicht bewusst gesetzt, wohl eher durch das rumprobieren so passiert. ;)

Ansonsten solltest du bis Ende April mit der Live Seite warten, da ich vom 3. bis zum 20. April im Urlaub bin.

Yes that would be my approach as well.I am tryig to establish the state. It might be that some "experimenting" has happened, much as I would do in such a situation.
I would next try to establish the state of the component permissions for Public and Registered groups, and have them all set to inherited. Would check every user group to ensure there were no Deny permissions. If there are set them to inherited.
Next create a new top level category and chek its permissions were all inherited for both groups. Then change Download permission to Allowed for Registered group only.
After that create a sub category of the new top level one. After saving look at its permissions to see if Public still has computed Downloads permission of not alloewed but Registered group has computed Download permission of Allowed.
All of this to check that permissions on new categories are cascading.

in the case from Melanie above, is the data structure from the assets table not more valid for all items.
So i have now used the ACL Manager to fix it. Hope that this will be helped.
@Melanie,
i have some problems with your server settings. Please note that the viewed settings from the pic are not really used on the server. See error on pic 2.
Have you already contacted your hoster how you can use the maximize settings?

sorry, there was the php.ini File from the live-site in the Admin-folder. I have phoned with 1und1 and they tell me, I can create a separate php.ini.
I´ve done and upload in htdocs and admin-folder. But I don´t know if the settings are enough. :-[

I have looked at your test site with my Android tablet. Made a few downloads ok. But all the files had a name of the form index-n.php This could be my tablet. Iwill be back home on a proper device in a couple of days. It appears from initial tests that permissions have been sorted out.
Could you tell me in simple terms how you are seeking to set up your front end downloads. For instance some downloads may be available publically but others might require being logged on. Also you might need different "classes" of uploaders.
So as I can help whilst Arno is away maybe you could PM the admin login details.

i have now tried again to start the acl manager in the backend. But again we have not enough memory:

Ja, das ist schon sehr viel und trotzdem fehlen dort offensichtlich 500-1000 Einträge (z.B. von den Joomla Artikel).
Kann es sein, dass diese Joomla Installation früher unter 2.5 lief und du sie irgendwann nach Joomla 3.x migriert hattest?
Wenn ja vermute ich langsam, dass da irgendetwas nicht richtig geklappt hat.
Frage ist nur wie jetzt weitermachen?

Nein das war von Haus aus eine frische 3er Installation.
Ich weiß nicht ob sich der Aufwand für dich lohnt, weil eigentlich ist das ja nur eine Testseite... aber ich trau mich gar nicht ran an der richtigen Seite irgendwann dann die Migration durchzuführen :o

Das macht das ganze noch seltsamer.
Wenn ich mir deine DB ansehe:
- Anzahl Zoo kategorien: 434.755 ???
- Anzahl redirect_links: 143.119 ???
- Anzahl Artikel: ~ 30.000 ???
Kann das sein?
Du hast insgesamt fast 800.000 Datensätze da drin...
Edit:- wir warten bis ich vom Urlaub zurück bin mit der Migration.
