after my reported Bugs in JD 3.x have been fixed in one of the last updates (I gave you feedback on 01/11/2015, see http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=7547.msg30579#msg30579) a link problem appears again at the latest Version 3.2.24 beta:
The links in the breadcrumb are all the same. See e.g. http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/category/39-hegau-bodensee-plz-78-und-angrenzende-schweiz.html

I must be missing something but I do not see the problem ???. I followed down through categories to a download and the breadcrumbs changed as in attached pics

The Breadcrumbs do change, but every little breadcrumb links to the root of the downloads.

All links go to i-war2.com/downloads.
Breadcrumbs are a navigation aid meant to show the step by step path to how we got to the current page. So they include the start point and all the intermediate steps. Hence I still fail to see the problem ::). To help perhaps you could give an example of what you think should be shown compared to what is being shown.
Tags are perhaps better in complex web sites but in the present series tags are not supported. Work on Tags will be after we get to a stable release.

yes, this is what I meant. In my case: E.g. breadcrumb with 5 "steps":

I sure you guys are seeing what you have posted but my problem is that I do not get the same effect! ??? Or maybe I am still missing something. ::)

the problem isn't the look of the breadcrumb, but the links that are generated for the items in the breadcrumb
Go to this page:
http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/category/39-hegau-bodensee-plz-78-und-angrenzende-schweiz.html
Then hover the items of the breadcrumb with your mouse and look at the link the browser shows:
Fist item "Home": Link goes to http://www.crazy-to-bike (main page / home of the site --> ok)
Second item "Downloads": Link goes to http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download.html (DJ Overview --> ok)
Third item "Bike-Touren (GPS-Tracks)": Link goes to http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download.html (but should be the link to the DJ caregory "Bike-Touren (GPS-Tracks)" that means it should be http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/category/37-bike-touren-gps-tracks.html)
Fourth item "Deutschland": Link goes to http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download.html (but should be the link to the DJ subcaregory "Deutschland" that means it should be http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/category/38-deutschland.html)

Think at last I understand :) The problem is that the browser shows one style of link whilst the breadcrumbs always shows the same thing (in this case http://www.i-war2.com/downloads). I was just looking at what was shown visibly on the screen and not at the link below. Ughhh!! :(

The browser link is the standard way that Joomla! passes the info as it uses the id and the type (category or download). So I think you are saying that the links generated for the breadcrumbs should be the same as those generated by the browser. Am I getting close?

Think the above has come about in an attempt to make the links more SEF like, and in other corrections. With the virtue of hindsight it maybe that we have confused two different 'challenges' - as shown perhapos by my just not seeing/recognising the vital word link. Think I should stop for a cup of tea!!

yes, each item in the breadcrumb should have the link that is shown in the browser when beeing at that page. If not, when clicking on e.g. the third item (Independence War II) in the breadcrumb "Home | Downloads | Independence War II | Game Saves | Act Three - Edge of Chaos | Mission 11: The End" you won't get to the desired category "Independence War II" but to the JD overview.
In my opinion this wrong behaviour of the creation of links for the breadcrumb correlates to the wrong creation of links of JD itself:
e.g.
http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/bike-touren-gps-tracks/category/37-bike-touren-gps-tracks.html instead of
http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/category/37-bike-touren-gps-tracks.html (without bike-touren-gps-tracks after /download/)

I don't think so. We had this behaviour (this kind of link like e.g. "http://www.crazy-to-bike.de/download/bike-touren-gps-tracks/category/37-bike-touren-gps-tracks.html") in an earlier version of JD 3.x and there where also the problems with the links of the breadcrumb items reported now. But in the last version if JD 3.x all this was alright (I gave you feedback on 01/11/2015, see http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=7547.msg30579#msg30579)

yes, I think so. I updated JD in the Joomla 3.3.6 backend on 01/11/2015 and in that version the links in the breadcrumb and within JD were ok (see my feedback http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=7547.msg30579#msg30579)
Unfortunately I dont't remember the version.
Then I updated JD the next time on 01/23/2015 and recognized the wrong link behaviour again.
The latest Beta finally fixed this bug.
Thank you! :-) Now JDownloads is working perfectly for me. 8)
